The Hunt
At 6500 this Colorado mule deer hunt is one of the best priced “big buck” hunts I have anywhere in the country. This Colorado mule deer hunt is going to be housed in wall tents that will give you access to the back country and high quality deer but because you are accessing it via a private ranch into the public you don’t have to pay the usual “price” of an ass kicking to go in and hunt this area. This hunt is going to be done during second and third rifle and is a guaranteed draw and the outfitter will help you get put in for it and make all that part easy. Deer on this hunt will average 175 – 190 with chances of deer over 200. There are a lot of deer on this hunt, you will see 5 – 10 bucks a day. Hunters need to be fairly fit but we can use horses for you to overcome the elevation and there are deer both high and low and this is a large area.
We will see a couple other public hunters on this hunt but they usually do us a favor by moving deer and hunting the area incorrectly. The lay of this country is elevation range is 7000 – 9000 feet and can range from low grassy meadows with Oak Brush and goes up into quakeys and black timber and open country above timberline.
Trophy Quality
Shooter deer you will be trying to kill on a daily basis on this hunt will be 175-190. This is your chance to kill that deer you have always wanted to shoot at a reasonable price. We will kill deer over 195 every year.
Dates
Second Rifle on this hunt is Oct 24 – Oct 28 and this is 5 full days of hunting.
Third Rifle on this hunt is Nov – 7 – Nov 11 and this is 5 full days of hunting. This is a full rut hunt and deer are transitioning down to lower country.
Food and Lodging
Lodging will be wall tents and the ride in in only about two miles and not crazy. Maybe a 30 minute ride up a logging road or you can walk if you like in about an hour or so. Remember they access this via a private ranch and then ride into remote public from there.
