The Hunt
This Colorado elk hunt is in open areas with canyons, some aspen trees, sage brush and varies in altitude from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Hiking is encouraged but not required; however, jeeps are primarily used for our hunting. The type of hunting used is “spot and stalk”.
Opportunity for elk is high 90’s percentile. Elk are 4 point or better. The opportunity rate for deer is 100%. Only mature bucks are taken.
Trophy Quality
Elk on this hunt are on average 5-6 points.
Food and Lodging
This Colorado open area elk hunt provides lodging in rustic bunkhouses with solar power. You will have home cooked meals with a family atmosphere for breakfast and dinner. Brown bag lunches are provided for guides and hunters.
This outfitter has three main ranches to hunt and the main ranch has been in the family for over 100 years! A shooting class is available upon request. This hunt is also a dry camp which means no alcohol.
