The lodge and accommodations were phenominal and my wife who was not a hunter went and everything was made accommodating for her as well and the town was close enough she went to town during the day. The food was good and there was plenty of it. You will not go hungry.
We arrived on Thursday and got unpacked and checked my bow and we were off to the field by 2pm we scouted up several bull before the evening and one in particular that sparked my interest and the stalk was on, we were winded and the day was over. The next morning was raining heavy and we spotter several BIG bull up moving around but not what we were looking for the guides split up to look for more bulls and around 930 that morning we found another good bull bedded in the bottoms out of the rain and formed a plan of what we needed to do to stalk into range. We worked our way to 47yrds and the guide began to cow call and as the bull stood he was heavy quartered to me and with a heavy cross wind no shot was available and the bull busted out. Then after lunch we found the bull from the first evening up moving and we got ahead of him as he headed into the bottoms as he worked his way to us after a 2 hour wait he showed up and took the wrong trail but to my right was another bull we didn’t see come in and they scuffled some and he pusher the bull to me and at 50gr the guide cow called and stopped him perfect he called out the range and the arrow was off. I hit him good and the bull run up the hill and expired within a minute. A 6 year quest to kill my first bull and first with a bow was done on the second day of the hunt. The guides worked hard and we had a blast the entire hunt. I left there with a big bull and new friends. The experience was awesome and I will be back.
Yes I would definitely recommend this hunt and someday soon i will return for chapter 2
