This Alaska Mountain Goat Hunt is a fly-in mountain goat hunt out of the Prince William Sound area, and with no public pressure, the success rates and trophy quality are second to none. Tags on this hunt are guaranteed and “over the counter.”
One of the advantages of this hunt is you’ll most likely be able to land at elevation and day hunt out of your base camp. No huge climbs if that’s what you are hoping for or needing. But if climbing is your thing…they’ve got that too!
This is a hunt where an average guy can get their goat and not kill themselves. It’s common on this hunt to see 12-30 goats a day.
If you want to shoot a trophy Mountain Goat or chase one with your bow… this is the hunt for you. We take a couple goats a year that go Boone and Crocket.
TROPHY QUALITY
This Alaska mountain goat hunt is a chance to shoot a booner, with goats being shot every year that push over that magical mark. Shooter goats in this area average 9 – 9.5 inches, and coats are unbelievable on this mountain goat hunt – and arguably the best in the world!
This area is so good we have been near 100% success, with only weather creating challenges. If a client can cover some country, it’s very possible to shoot a billy over 10 inches.

These are backpacking-style camps with freeze-dried food and 3 – 4 man tents.
