This Idaho Float Trip is on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River and ran by a top notch outfitter. This outfitter is the best to take your family on a float trip and offers 5 and 6 day trips. These trips are organized well from the start of your journey to the end.
In addition to floating, and fishing, there are great historical sites, native pictographs, hot springs, great hikes, and even that peace and quiet mom and dad are looking for.
The Crew
Outfitter has a crew which consists of several oar boats, one paddle boat and inflatable kayaks (when water levels permit) for the adventurous floater. The boats are the luxury ride! One guide will take a few guests on his/her boat and they will be able to relax, sunbathe or fish as they please. Others can try their hand at kayaking or paddle-boating for a little more excitement. As you travel your guides may also share knowledge of the canyon’s geology, history and fun backcountry lore.
Idaho Float Trip – Food & Camping
This Idaho Float Trip outfitter provides delicious meals three times a day. Examples of meals consist of Dutch Oven Prime Rib, wild-caught Alaskan Salmon and yummy appetizers. The Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie is a fantastic favorite. Wine is an option with your dinner too. Camping is truly a “glamping” experience. This outfitter provides thick plush sleeping pads and bags, tents, dining tables and chairs.
Idaho Float Trip – What Is Included
The trip cost with this outfitter includes the following on your trip:
- All food and meals
- Camp equipment
- Transport to and from the river by bus
- All boating equipment
- Life jackets
- Dry bags for your personal gear
- All guiding etc.
The only items not included in the trip cost are your travel to Idaho, lodging the evening prior to the trip and any gratuities you may choose to leave the guide staff.
