Trip Report: Colorado Archery Elk 2021 with Andrew Juran
Andrew sticks an amazing archery bull in Colorado on our Western Wilderness Elk and Deer Hunting Hunt! Congrats Andrew!
Trip Report: Colorado Archery Elk 2021 Booking Process
Booking was straightforward and streamlined. Marc went above and beyond to answer questions for first time elk hunters. He helped pick a hunt perfectly tailored for our situation (father / son bucket list first time elk hunting just hoping to get on elk)
Lodge was functional and comfortable. Food was decent and logistics to location were well defined. The guide and guide’s team were friendly and helpful. They’ve been hunting and guiding this property for a long time and had it down to a science.
Trip Report: Colorado Archery Elk 2021 Trip Details
We organized this hunt as a bucket list hunt for a father/son duo just hoping to get on some elk. We were on elk from sunrise on day one to the end of the trip. Saw the same 2x smaller bulls and 1x larger bull from a distance on day 1 and day 2. Day 3 we moved in on where they were hanging out. The big guy came in to the guide’s calling. He bugled at us from 30 yrds away (I swear it about blew my hat off) and stepped out into a shooting lane at 25 yards. Sent an arrow flying and sealed the deal. The true trophy was having an unforgettable father/son hunting experience, but it didn’t hurt that this was one of the biggest bulls harvested on this property in a while!
Trip Report: Colorado Archery Elk 2021 – Your Experience
Setting up a ‘new’ hunt can be complicated and challenging. Marc actively listened to what I was looking for in a hunt and made the perfect recommendation. I had comfort knowing we weren’t getting into a fly-by-night operation or a hunt that didn’t match our needs. I had high expectations going out west for this hunt and they were exceeded in every way. You could not have scripted a more perfect hunt/experience. I would have felt this way even without harvesting a great bull.
